Shweta Swami

I discovered my passion for drawing and sketching at the young age of seven. I spent countless hours drawing cartoons, landscapes, and portraits of my family members, honing my skills and developing a love for design. After completing high school, I decided to pursue my passion by enrolling in an Architecture degree program. Over the course of five years, I learned a wide range of skills, including conceptualization, understanding scale and proportions, presentations, efficient group work collaboration, and meeting strict deadlines.

In 2009, I began my journey as a junior architect and eventually worked for a renowned company in India. My experience at Incubis was invaluable and helped me land a project architect role in Muscat. As I progressed, I was promoted to a senior architect position and continued to refine my skills and expertise in architectural design. Afterward, I pursued a career as a freelance designer and worked in that capacity for several years.

For good reason, I eventually decided to switch to UX design after a friend who worked in the field introduced me to it. I realized that the skills I enjoyed using the most in architecture - conceptualizing, brainstorming ideas, and communicating with clients to determine their needs - were all essential to UX design as well. It soon became clear to me that my true potential and passion lay in this field.
